Spendy Tuesday

October 15, 2009

Tuesday was about hanging out with my sister. This was meant to be just a window shopping, inspiration gathering expedition, but ended up being about actual shopping. As usual. Also I had a kimono itch that needed to be scratched. Whenever I want to buy clothes but can’t find what I want or can’t be bothered, I shop for kimono. I love kimono. I’ve got a budding little collection and I’ll show you all of them one day. You’ve already seen one here as part of my birthday outfit. Although, technically speaking I think that piece is a Yukata, or Haori, can anyone enlighten me? It is striped but sheer, short and has three crests. Any kimono experts out there?

I got this aqua beauty at Kazari Warehouse, and I got a new 2010 diary and Craft Business organiser from Metropolis.

Needles and thimble from Clegs, less fun, more necessary.

Ohhh! Yay scarves! Ohhh! Ironing needed!

These are going to be used in place of tissue paper to wrap the pieces from the Shop. This is an idea my friend Jennifer suggested based on Furoshiki, the Japanese wrapping cloths. The two ombre dyed squares from Kazari Warehouse were originally used for just that purpose (convenient, no?) and the rest are just second-hand scarves from Chapel St Bazzar

Just a little bit of inspiration picked up while out and about!

Can someone please take my wallet away from me please? I’ve got a big trip and a big hair appointment to save for and it certainly ain’t happening at this rate!
